Just a question, if you had some unexplained pain somewhere what would you do? I am guessing that most of you would probably go along to the doctor and get it checked out in case it is something serious.
Which then begs the question why, when four people a day in England die in house fires caused by electrical faults or appliances, why wouldn’t you get your wiring checked by a qualified electrician?
Many people now have a health check every year, or their boiler serviced to avoid the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning, yet few people think about getting a regular check and service of their electrics (unless you are a landlord where you are required to do this by law).
When you break down the statistics, there are nearly 3000 house fires directly attributable to faulty mains wiring, with nearly 15000 incidents caused by electricity. In total this is 54% of all fires in the UK.
It is however not all bad news, one area that has massively improved has been deaths by electrocution. In the 1970s there were often around 70 of these in any one year. Nowadays due to improved regulations, better cables and better qualified electricians these have been reduced to around 3 or 4 a year.
If you think your wiring has not been checked recently then why not call us for a quote to check your wiring so you can ensure that you and your loved ones are safe.
